will /prog/ forever be a shithole?

I've looked around long and hard for a decent programming image/textboard that's actually active and not a cesspool. How'd /prog/ get to be this fucking bad? Are there any serious members left?

I'm one of the board redirectors and thread reporter. I will contribute good posts to threads that are programming related. I wish the spammers would take their spam to /b/ where anything is permitted.
