Would it be possible for a wizard to create a universal Turing machine that had an infinite amount of memory?
Also, if we could master magic, do you think that it would be possible to create a separate pocket universe for a computer, that could perform exhaustive searches of an infinite problem space in a way that would seem instant when observed from this universe?

No, because magic doesn't exist.

Shalom aleichem, Jewish brothers! May HaShem give you infinitely many infinite sets.
Memory is addressable, so a set of addresses can represent our memory. Then memory is infinite if there is a one-to-one correspondence from the set of addresses to the set of natural numbers.

You know, I honestly thought that at first, and then I wondered why I was getting something that was so close to what I learned as the Peano numbers, and I figured you were just abusing notation a little and pretending () ∈ was really {} ⊂.
To access an infinite amount of memory, they would be a need for an infinite amount of addresses. To store each address during processing, an infinite amount of memory would be needed, which would in turn need an infinite amount of memory to address the address. Thus, the size of an infinite memory needed to store addresses must exceed the size of the infinity needed for the infinite memory itself in an infinite fashion. The minimum infinity needed is ∞∞. We can model this relationship as follows:
lim xx = ∞ x→∞
Thus, a machine with an infinite amount of memory requires an infinite amount of memory.

Let ø be the set containing exactly the girls with which >>23-san has gotten laid. That should do for our purposes.
Edit: No deal. She's too old and too big and has too much fat on her chest. Are you absolutely sure that you don't want the loli? Oh well, more for me.

Oh, sorry, I assumed you had a Danbooru account.
too old
I don't know any 12yo anime girls who are taller than 160cm. too big
Yeah, but it's within acceptable bounds. too much fat
I agree, but I couldn't find a better picture with the FAT NUGGETS I love so much.

I like Mimi, though. In fact, I made this http://i.imgur.com/CrLofS2.png

Luke used the force (magic) to do what the computer couldn't. That proves that magic is better than programming, and a wizard wouldn't even bother with a computer any more than we bother to make computers out of popsicle sticks and used condoms.

Just because it isn't physical does not mean it doesn't exist.

>>49 ooh wuts dat let me go check le wikipedia and i become le genius that knows everything ~ every /prog/rider ever
Consider the following: There is an endless shore on a planet marked only by a mountain of 1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000! dicks. Every 1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000! years, a /blog/rider comes along to grab a single one of these dicks. When the entire mountain of dicks has all been grabbed away, that will be the beginning of the first day in gay hell.

I had originally planned some witty, sarcastic remark, but I couldn't think of anything.
Anyway, Mimi is nice - you have good taste. I haven't caught up for several months; I hope that Reiji hasn't raped her.
Yes, it's me, the guy who vexes you to no end.
And I will NEVER forgive you for that! It's nice to see that you're still around though.

If you account for time, it already has an infinite amount of memory with limited access.

A wizard would have to create such a device outside of the universe be necessity. The infinitly massive black hole caused by having something that can store an infinte amount of memory would probably kill him.
