Also, if we could master magic, do you think that it would be possible to create a separate pocket universe for a computer, that could perform exhaustive searches of an infinite problem space in a way that would seem instant when observed from this universe?

Consider the following: There is an endless shore on a planet marked only by a mountain of 1000!^{1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!} dicks. Every 1000!^{1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!1000!} years, a /blog/rider comes along to grab a single one of these dicks. When the entire mountain of dicks has all been grabbed away, that will be the beginning of the first day in gay hell.
