And what do you think about hipsters? You think it's a goyim trend made to overthrow the JEWS? No, it's the other way around, they want to destroy the Western culture by giving us products that make us homosexual hipsters.
Please think before you speak and don't call yourself a true antisemite until you realize who's the JEW, Sadkovsky-kun.

Steve Ballmer was born in Detroit, Michigan to Jewish American mother. To quote Ballmer: "Microsoft is as much an Israeli company as an American company. We intend to continue to invest in Israel." Microsoft tends to downplay its contribution to Israel for fear of an Arab backlash.

FreeBSD binaries are outdated and I'm pretty sure build process will fail too, due to some gcc or unistd.h incompatibility.

And yet you insist on using a computer made with Israeli processors designed by the JEWS. You might as well be paying your tithe to your local Synagogue.
You must trash that computer immediately and run to buy a legitimate Lemote computer, made by the hardworking people of the Orient, running untainted, Aryan (which you aren't, you piece of shit East-Baltic untermensch) OpenBSD.

You're doing pixel art, you don't need any of that. Make an MS Paint clone in that shit language of yours and get done with it. Here, I'll give you some code to get started with:

Linux/FreeBSD has other big disadvantage: it's GUI uses C++, which is this ugly and math-heavy language with template classes like in Haskell. MacOSX uses Objective-C, which is a lot easier to integrate with Common Lisp.

That's as false as your status as a true Russian, Sadkovich. Both GTK+ and X.org are written in C, and nevertheless, I can't imagine why would you prefer to interface with such technology rather than follow the style of Russian eminence Alexander Stepanov.
Why must you subject yourself to American-JEWish interests so eagerly, Mr. Sadkovich?

nice fallacy, Hymie.
Is SICP overrated?
It's a fairly good reference, but there are other good ones as well which aren't frequently mentioned on here.
Do you think FIOC is a good idea?
Nope. I like S-Expressions. Would be kewl if people used them for everything, from web documents to source code.
I guess I agree that FIOC is shit and SICP is a good reference, but I disagree with some other things. For instance, I don't think smoking weed everyday is a good idea. I think it's more fun to smoke it every day for a short period in time then to take a break for a while. I find that helps me form an interesting perspective on life, and if I were to just smoke every single day for a long period in time, I think I'd get to the point where I wouldn't really gain anything from using it.
Oh, and although I guess it's just Nikita, I don't have anything against Jews. That's probably because I don't fall for silly, dogmatic ideologies that are based entirely on superstition. It's one thing to claim that the Zionist movement is evil, and another to try to claim that an entire race of people are.

Nikita's the racist. He wastes so much of his time trying to figure out whether people have a Jewish ethnic background or not, then uses that to form an opinion about them.

1. Yes, but it is still a classic. A must read.
2. It never was. The language was spun out of sheer frustration from Guido not being able to read code with regular expressions. Because of that, he made a language of his own to force everyone to use one style of writing code. Think of it how Pascal was made, as a ``solution'' and _indoctrination_ to write code well. It had its merits on teaching proper grammar, and being conscience for the next reader, but to that point. That is why C and Scheme or Common Lisp will still beat the 2, because they were meant for actual practical programming and reading. All it depends on the user, you.

Tron's graphics were true 3D. MAGI, one of the companies hired to do the rendering (which used computers other than the famous SuperFoonly F-1), employed a bunch of scientists and wrote the first ray-tracer program, largely to do Tron.
Many of their parts, such as the light cycles, use the full Phong reflection model, which had been invented in 1973, almost a full decade before Tron hit theatres.

Man, a MIPS desktop would be great, but I really can't afford a Lemote right now, and I'd really just rather have the performance, even if it's in the form of the clusterfuck that is PC architecture.
ARM desktops are inevitable though. We're gonna be seeing 20+ core ARMv8 workstations in the next 5 years. It'll be fantastic.

>>81 the console computer was replaced by an IBM PC running an application developed using Pascal. Interface boards were developed by myself that brought the total boot time from 15 mins to under 10 seconds. The old console computers were LISP derivatives that took forever to load. LISP was an artificial intelligence language that was not bad for a lab environment, but a nightmare for the market environment. I worked with Dave Poole for 4 years, and I have to admit he is very intelligent, was not a pleasant experience.
