It's a fairly good reference, but there are other good ones as well which aren't frequently mentioned on here.

Nope. I like S-Expressions. Would be kewl if people used them for everything, from web documents to source code.

I guess I agree that FIOC is shit and SICP is a good reference, but I disagree with some other things. For instance, I don't think smoking weed everyday is a good idea. I think it's more fun to smoke it every day for a short period in time then to take a break for a while. I find that helps me form an interesting perspective on life, and if I were to just smoke every single day for a long period in time, I think I'd get to the point where I wouldn't really gain anything from using it.

Oh, and although I guess it's just Nikita, I don't have anything against Jews. That's probably because I don't fall for silly, dogmatic ideologies that are based entirely on superstition. It's one thing to claim that the Zionist movement is evil, and another to try to claim that an entire race of people are.

2. It never was. The language was spun out of sheer frustration from Guido not being able to read code with regular expressions. Because of that, he made a language of his own to force everyone to use one style of writing code. Think of it how Pascal was made, as a ``solution'' and _indoctrination_ to write code well. It had its merits on teaching proper grammar, and being conscience for the next reader, but to that point. That is why C and Scheme or Common Lisp will still beat the 2, because they were meant for actual practical programming and reading. All it depends on the user, you.
