OS DESIGN THREAD

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-14 23:49

In this thread you get to decide the functions the OS will have.  It's going to be the best OS ever.

phys_destroy(&object) Physically destroys the object referenced by object.  Can destroy RAM, hard drives, etc.  If the object is a tty, the operator will be physically destroyed usually.  Use with caution.  Needs root privileges.  Returns a char 0-255 describing the level of destruction that was able to be inflicted.  Throws a E_DIDNTWORK exception of type EX_PROGRAMMER_STUPIDITY if &object is null or the object is already destroyed.

fap(&object) The object referenced is deallocated, then recreated.  This performs no useful function but feels good.  Throws exception EX_WORKITBABY unless &object is null, then throws exception  EX_NOPENIS.

Needs root privileges.
The best OS wouldn’t employ fascist computer concepts like that of a superuser.

rootmeplox() - Gives user root privileges.  Needs root privileges.

dwim(char * somestring) - Linguistically parses the Unicode text at somestring and performs the requested operations according to available resources and hardware limitations.  Works in any language.

so ...

int main()
 {
 int result == -1;
 while ( result != 0 ) { result == dwim("make best OS ever."); };
 }

We're done here.

dwim() has no side-effects. Your program can either succeed on the first loop or run forever.
