That's not even what I'm using it for! Honest!

I use binary groups to find ebooks and music that I can't find elsewhere.

Would you rather use le twitteredditbook instead?

Absolutely, anyone who uses cryptography and/or any website that is not in {Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia, foxnews.com} must be a pedophile terrorist murderer who hates America.

uk.food+drink.real-ale
uk.media.tv.sf.drwho
uk.tech.misc
uk.tech.robotics

I like the uk.* newsgroups. Some of them are still fairly active, and I'm a big fan of the ``MI5 mind control'' guy.

People still use usenet? I always wanted to take part , but I was worried they are mostly abandonware, like most MUDs and the like. How do I get started?

I used it for a little bit years ago, from the Sylpheed GUI mail client.

I would like to try again, using an Emacs-based client.  I presume GNUS would be the most powerful, but I already use MEW for my email.  Do you think GNUS has compelling enough advantages, or should I be fine sticking with MEW?

Usenet is dead.

Except for alt.bin piracy shit.

Never mind, it Just Works in Mew.

My face when comp.lang.c is having the same argument about to what extent the C standard actually requires a stack.
