I was really excited when I found out that they would be including inline ruby code in HTML5 (<ruby>puts "CHUNKY BACON!"</ruby>), but no browsers implement it correctly yet 0_0

You guys will never appreciate the greatness of javascript. Play with your toy projects in lisp while real men create complex and beautiful websites in javascript(and make a fuckton of money).
For fuck's sake, when are the browser makers stop fucking around and agree on a proper VM so that we may program in decent languages.
In the mean time, we have to put up with Javashit's idiotic, useless type coercions even if we try to escape it by using languages which ``compile'' down to it.

Never. It's too late for that.

All this stuff keeps making me think we've come full circle. We can already run machine code on our computer, why does it have to be inside a Web browser?

Sandboxing is Jewish. The Jews want to sandbox all of reality, and lock us inside of the sandbox while they roam freely outside of it.

Because then users cannot be (as easily) tracked and served advertisements
I tried both compilers. They're almost ok. Documentation is scarce and I haven't managed to port my code yet. Biwascheme claims to be "Most syntax/base library of R6RS ".
Hop would be a better node.js but I'm very pessimistic.
Those academic people made an ugly website, have poor communication and so on. I see the fail coming. You need to have a friendly community of decent size and cool webapps to show on HN. Wake up!
Anyway I will never be satisfied with compiling to Java
script: I try sometimes to stick with good old non floating Arithmetic and I don't want to have Double as the only type. I'd like to be wrong about this, I don't know shit about V8 and friends

Nice work. I haven't tried lispyscript yet and may have forgotten it exists if you didn't post. So, thanks.

Yeah, I realized my ENTERPRISE DERP after a nice shower. If not, HTML would have never been made. Tim Berners-Lee must have been high when he made it, without thinking of using troff or SGML. troof would have made the best sense.

links, the main purpose of HT ML, and silly markup that //symbols// could not satisfy Tim's **typography** hunger.
Still, gopher was way ahead of its time, and still it.
glad we concur troff was awesome. May mandoc continue to prosper.
>>46 _sprintf isn't Standard C. Microsoft adds the underscore to functions when their versions behave differently than the Standard. The underscore is so they can add a compliant version in the future without breaking programs that rely on MSVCRT's non-standard behavior.
