"Smart"phones are depreciated

Sorry, I don't like to play mindless games or ruin my ears listening to shit quality music or "browsing" the internet in a shitty way to pass time in a mindless way. So I simply use a "dumbphone" ("smart"phone users should be called dumbusers) that I use only for only text and making/receiving calls.

Want a gps? use a handheld gps. Time? get a watch. Internet browsing/ssh? Get a small laptop.

"Smart"phones are a jack of all trades master of none device and used only by dumb white collar kids that have nothing important going on in their lives.

You don't know what backdoors are in the phone (hard|soft)ware or communication protocols, as they are all proprietary. There is constant communication between your phone and the phone company. They can already triangulate your phone's position to a radius that depends on the distance to the nearest cell towers. Your personal data--no doubt including GPS logs--is available to anyone with a bribe or any oppressive, privacy-hating government. The only way to escape this is by not owning a phone.
