"Smart"phones are depreciated

Sorry, I don't like to play mindless games or ruin my ears listening to shit quality music or "browsing" the internet in a shitty way to pass time in a mindless way. So I simply use a "dumbphone" ("smart"phone users should be called dumbusers) that I use only for only text and making/receiving calls.

Want a gps? use a handheld gps. Time? get a watch. Internet browsing/ssh? Get a small laptop.

"Smart"phones are a jack of all trades master of none device and used only by dumb white collar kids that have nothing important going on in their lives.

They don't.  The satellites send out information like current time (up there, that is) and position, and the GPS receiver uses that information (plus the perceived time differences between apparent current time for satellites) to calculate its position.
