Close enough, but the function itself may change (or be picked out of a countable infinity of possible equivalent/close-enough functions) and the function itself is never directly executed, otherwise there would be no environment to live in, instead, you again, get a choice of a countable infinity of such computable functions that somehow indirectly implement your own "mind" function as a side-effect. When you experience the world, through your perspective, your "function" would be mostly the same, while the "environment" functions that implement your particular function should be variable - that's where QM should come from (this implicitly means something close to MWI should be true).

I did read a very insightful post today of someone elaborating on this idea, which has been known for more than 20-30 years now, which basically formulated a very generalized form of a computational Anthropic Principle for (the stable experience of self-)consciousness and its properties. Too bad I'm not going to link to it, because obscure mailing lists and Usenet groups don't need to get more crowded than they already are (and you would find them eventually if you were truly interested in these topics).

Also obviously you can never know which function ``you'' really are. Not even given infinite resources would you be able to know for sure (indirect consequence of the halting problem), but you can make some educated guesses here to solve this problem partially.

You overanalyzed it. Consciousness is the superfunction of time because I define it to be so.
And don't worry about your Usenet shit, because the amount of fucks I give is infinitesimal; you and your friends can rot in peace there. Although you are probably right in the sense that if you did post the link, I would repost it on /b/ just to piss you off.
(the stable experience of self-)consciousness
Stable? Stable? How the fuck am I stable? I don't even know the definition of reality!

Stable because you observe that induction still works for you. It may stop working on day, but not yet.
You can use induction to extrapolate physical laws which seem to remain roughly constant at the macroscopic level. The Earth turned around the Sun yesterday and it still does today and so it will tommorow (if induction still holds and no unusual events happen).

You also can't define consciousness, consciousness is just what it's like to be you, it's not definable. It can only be approximated or guessed at.
