Do you always use giant Verdana and giant Georgia, or do you also use normally-sized Verdana and Georgia?

the default size is usually 10 in an editor, but Verdana and Georgia allow me to go down to 8 which shows a lot more code in the window but is still very readable

My favorite monospaced fonts are Consolas, and Liberation Mono.
It's 2011 why are you people still using unaliased fonts?

Because bitmap fonts look better at small sizes (i.e. 8pt, 10pt), and seeing more than three lines of code in a window at any given time is usually a big advantage in coding.
Consolas doesn't look too good on Linux, but I heard it's a favorite among Macfags, which is ironic since it's an MS font, but makes sense because Apple's monospace fonts render like shit at small sizes.

I'm unsure. Sure, it's round, but something about it just doesn't look right. Inconsistent, perhaps. Compare lowercase a, c, g and o, for instance.

Monaco made me think of "Comic Sans Mono" at first, but it's incredibly readable. If you have an ancient CRT handy compare Monaco to some others with code, esp. this shit:
o0O|1liI{{{({(([]))}})}
JS's insistence on nesting {}s inside ()s is what made me start using it.
I also want people to stop using Museo for headings. It's the new Century Gothic. Fuck you, embedded typefaces, you're ruining the Web.

I want a font that contains every character in Unicode.
Guess who's more likely to get what they want. There's a limit to how many characters can be in a TrueType font. That limit is smaller than the
number of characters in Unicode. And it's still not you.
I really rather like Consolas, but it looks horrible on anything but Windows. (Yes, even with subpixel smoothing built into Freetype.) Thus, I keep using Terminus for all my small and pointy needs.
