What's /prog/s opinon on a technocracy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technocracy Do you think the Sussman could be the next Stalin? Have you ever heard of Project Cybersyn? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Cybersyn Why don't girls want to date me?

Cybersyn was revolutionary. I get hard (intellectually speaking, of course) just by thinking about it.

btw the idea behind Cybersyn was not technocracy in the mind of his creator.

Do you think the Sussman could be the next Stalin? He dislikes personality cults.
Have you ever heard of Project Cybersyn? It was cool for its day.

In all cases technical and leadership skills are selected through bureaucratic processes on the basis of specialized knowledge and performance, rather than democratic elections.

..who are subject to the same human frailties, weaknesses and corruption as everyone else. In short order becoming just another form of tyranny. (Power corrupts, etc)

Technocracy? Is that something like putting actually qualified people in charge instead of arts degree students who happen to have highly-placed parents?

You crazy butthole.

I seriously think it's the only clever future and I adhere 100% to technocracy.

We were always shown an evil dictator computer in movies, but that's nonsense. We should work and build a good dictator computer (DAD, the Digitally Assisted Dictator). Humans are fallible.

Matrix is an example of a negative depiction of a governing machine. But see, we'd make It good-hearted, we'd program It in Lisp...
