I want to teach a boygirl (100% boy dick, but 100% passable as girl when clothed though) programming, and he/she is willing to learn.
His/her first language will be Perl 6.
Is that a good plan?
>>56 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_they I'm more and more inclined to use it to denote unspecified gender. "He/she" is long and clumsy. "He" is unacceptable because it's sexist, but so is "she"; also, using "she" as default singular pronoun reeks of Californian liberal assholes, which is exactly the impression I want my readers not to have.

In what way is using the unspecified-gender 3rd person singular pronoun sexist?

Typical male with no regard for females' feelings.

Incidentally, this is exactly the impression I want my readers to have. If a reader is irritated and distracted from the contents of my writing by the form of the third-person pronoun I use, then I'll try my best to irritate and disturb her as much as possible. So "she" it is, from now on.
