The more of these threads get created, they closer they are to random mappings from one category onto another.

Name: Anonymous 2010-09-07 16:04

If you're going to waste the time putting one of these together, at least put an ounce of thought into it.  Wouldn't ASM just be a big pile of brass scraps?  "Lisp: the horn" because, yeah, that makes sense.

What on Earth is zink?

I'm sorry you don't know your brass instruments.

ASM: in some ways the most flexible one, but also extremely limited. Basically impossible to write normal programs with. You can't play a pile of brass scraps, btw.

C: Very constrained, but also very basic. Any programmer should be able to operate it.

C++: Like C, but shittier.

Forth: kind of weird compared to the others, but also extremely flexible.

Haskell: the "deep" language.

Lisp: difficult for others to use, but very nuanced.

Perl: obnoxious.

Python: like perl, but sillier.

Ruby: like Python and perl, but even less useful.

Forgive me for expecting you all to know anything or think for yourselves.

A didgeridoo is not a brass instrument, you cabbage-raping phonegobbler.

Probably think brass instruments are any and only instruments made of brass.

>>13
Those aren't brass either.

I still think 1282579382 is the only good thread in this series.
