Why is there so much arguing and general negativity here on /prog/?
Shouldn't /prog/ just be about having fun with programming? Like contests and challenges and programming jokes?

I wouldn't expect you to know but there is more to programming than just learning a programming language.
/prog/ gives me the distinct impression that there is a lot less to programming than learning a programming language. YMMV.
