Why is there so much arguing and general negativity here on /prog/?
Shouldn't /prog/ just be about having fun with programming? Like contests and challenges and programming jokes?

We use them for useful things all the time, otherwise we wouldn't have learned them in the first place

What are you talking about?

Do you drive around in the DMV car? No! That's only meant for learning driving in first place as are those languages. I wouldn't expect you to know but there is more to programming than just learning a programming language.
