Xarn has only participated in two challenges, as far as I'm aware. He won one outright (the Link/Goombas one), and that was when nobody else entered. For the other (the tank one), he won in two of the five categories, and the other three categories went to other people.
If he does keep winning every challenge, maybe it's worth having a prize for Xarn and one for best of the rest, but I don't think there's actually any problem at this point.

Nobody's complaining about the rest of the /prog/ celebrities, even though the Sussman gets mentioned three times as often as Xarn, and Leah about as often.
The recent increase in Xarn cult activity has been a bit on the excessive side, but it will subside, at the latest when summer is over. At least it's better than the ANUS spam.

Yes, well, it's Xarn in particular right now because of the recent increase in Xarn cult activity (the rest is also true).
The Sussman wrote SICP and has contributed a great deal to our cause; Leah is female. It's natural that they have celebrity status here. But Xarn is merely a male programmer, just like the other nine of us. It just seems odd.

As for those you named, I don't go on IRC and I don't really take interest in people's names, so I can't really comment.

You could make it require as much bandwidth as the file size, but only as long as the users are on the same network. Otherwise, you're left with P2P or a localized multicast network (local servers on the user's ISP, if you can afford such costs).

I don't quite understand your post, but I think you meant that I can't have real multicast over the Internet. I know that I can't use IP multicast because few ISPs have networks which support it; I meant to suggest that the system would construct an overlay P2P network, where one node would forward the stream to more nodes, so that the source host wouldn't be overloaded.
