Who cares? If you want to read stupid things, read TheDailyWTF which is a website dedicated to writing bullshit for audiences like you. Now please, don't ever make another thread with IRC bullshit from some n00b who probably hasn't even gotten past the point of no return in his academia nor has any actual experience to have a credible opinion.

C is really crappy i mean i have to call a function to arrange some space just to store a string really this is the 21st century and i expect a program languages to have excellent built-in string facilities otherwise its crap
In a year, C will go the way of assembly and will only be used in very few locations, 99% of which will be to write interpreters for the new popular languages such as Java and Python.

This is actually a concept that many notable computer engineers and scientists agree with, although most differ on how long it will take (6 months to 3 years).

Oh, sure sure.
I heard all those same notable computer engineers and scientists also say that assembly language is going to be gone within 2 weeks[1].

Yeah bullshit. They said the same thing last decade and they'll say the same thing next decade. Meanwhile real-world programs that people actually use to do work and accomplish things, like word processors, spreadsheets, webservers, etc. will continue to be written in C(++).

Sometime in the next few days I'll be posting an essay about why Lisp is going to completely replace C in all uses within the next year.
Lol, /prog/ at the beginning of the school year is funny. People who have never heard the words YHBT are a little too easy if they are falling for shit like "C is gone in a year".
I present that trolling beyond two abstractions always collapses into a idiocy function. The idea that this is somehow layered abstraction is an overly hopeful and, frankly, religious attitude.
