Is there a MySQL book/tutorial that doesn't include the phrase ``Enterprise-Level SQL Features''?

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 13:27

try looking in the "for dummies" series

No, thanks. I'm thinking of something K&R-like.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 14:32

Why would you want to ``learn'' MySql? It's just another database engine. Usually, you'd go this way:

a) Learn relational database theory
b) Learn SQL
c) ???
d) Use whichever DBMS you fancy, preferably Oracle Enterprise Edition.

a) Learn relational database theory
How do I do that?

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 16:02

I'm learning SQL without doing a). Am I going to have my anus haxed?

Please attend an University course on subject.

You most likely won't have any problem using a database/making the queries, but you're gonna get your anus haxed if you ever try to make one.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 17:30

Fuck you. You can't tell me what to do.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 17:31

Nice "enterprise-level" faggot quotes.

It's funny because homosexuality is shameful and bad.

Welcome to 4Chan.
You must be new here.

This isn't /b/, moron.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 19:37

>>20
But is 4Chan and Anon does what he pleases. You need to lurk more.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 19:43

>>21
You need to lurk more
Take some of your own advice

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 19:57

I lurk here more than you will ever know, and find your BBCode shenanigans childish.

Your worship of Teh Sussman and SICP to be every bit distasteful as any other fundamentalists.

Furthermore all this is relatively new as in the last year or two, when the latest bunch of you faggots to bounce through here discovered 4Chan while in your freshmen year.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:05

>>23
( ´_ゝ`) You're awfully ignorant. There's other people besides Sussman that /prog/ looks up to, and your view of things and understanding of the culture around here is very insular and close minded.

And BBCODE is awesome man, don't knock it.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:11

I dont recall saying "looks up to", I said worship because you guys just suck his cock outright, and that my Anonymous friend is gay.
Much as BBCode is gay. Ohhhh shiny !! Super/subscripts yay!!!

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:12

>>23
go home, FV.
nobody likes you

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:16

LOL I am not Faggot Void.
I am Anon. One of the Anons that always gave the nigger shit for using tripfagcodes. We don't need his type 'round these here parts, son.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:16

>>25
Well, that's, just, like, your, opinion, man.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:18

Too bad you already agreed that you're glad frozen void is gone.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:19

>>27
You should go to /b/. Not because I don't want you here (well, that too), but because you represent the old Anonymous that is forgotten. The thing is, we don't need such people here. But today's /b/ could definitely use it.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:21

Image boards at work?? Not so much. text boards: green light !!

Thats why I have been here since forever.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:22

>>30
I think he should stay and YOU should leave.
We need as much "old Anonymous" as we can get.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:23

>>32
Please explicate.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:23

>>32
No. We don't need /b/ here, old or new.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:23

You fucking love me. Your denial only proves it.

See you fags tomorrow :)

Nothing but love, baby.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:24

>>33
grumpy oldfags > newfags who don't know how to lurk

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:25

>>33
"Explain" is probably the more correct usage here. Although this technically works, it is awkward and uncommon usage.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:26

>>35
That's a nice logic, except for the fact that it doesn't make a fucking sense. And I reply because I have to quash cretinism. It's a mental condition or something. That's why I had to hide FV's posts, they made it unable to post here.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:26

>>36
These are /b/ terms. This isn't /b/. I don't understand what you're saying.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:27

>>36
not that the people in this thread are newfags.
when i first came to 4chan i was afraid to post because i would have been torn apart for being an idiot. why has that changed so much?

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:27

>>35
Who's up for pulling a Paul Graham and have all Erlang threads tomorrow?

Name: LEGION 2009-08-06 20:27

ANONYMOUS IS LEGION

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-06 20:29

>>39
actually, they're not really /b/ terms.
every board on 4chan uses(used) them, it's just that they became unfashionable when newfags (like you) started using them in every other sentence.

You have to crush cretinism?
Who elected you Lord Protector?
Your need to Set Things Right comes from within and is an indication of deeper issues, perhaps a touch of OCD. Certainly much more than a normal helping of self-righteousness. Neither of which will help you through life.
Get over yourself, you reall y aren't that important, and Anon just doesn't care.

every board
Every imageboard, you mean. I know these people append -fag to every word. I still curse the day I went to check out /v/.

Maybe we call each other a faggot, taking turns, and the first one to realise how retarded this is will be deemed a loser and a faggot one more time. Yeah, sounds like a plan.
