They already do and it's called CAL.
It's basically Haskell without:
- Pattern-matching style function definitions
- Monads
- Sectioning of infix operators (like in
map (*2) [1..] )

And with:

ENTERPRISE names for functions, like
removeDuplicates instead if
nub
- Interoperability with the Java
tm plataform.
