i spent 45 min this morning trying to read from an Excel file in Perl

after dicking around with module dependencies, i gave up

then i spent 1 hr writing what i needed in JAVA - using only one API in a single .jar file

You could've meditated for 5 minutes, become enlightened and finished the Perl program in less than 2 minutes. 52 minutes is less than one hour.
