i spent 45 min this morning trying to read from an Excel file in Perl

after dicking around with module dependencies, i gave up

then i spent 1 hr writing what i needed in JAVA - using only one API in a single .jar file

ergo JAVA > Perl

you wouldn't have needed a faggy module if you did it in CL
