I never said that xkcd was never good. Au contraire, in fact, I used to like xkcd in the days of yore. The breakthrough came with that Python strip; it's not like I hate Python or something, I just can't stand him conveying the message ``ZOOMG PYTHON IS AWESOME I LIKE IT MORE THAN PERL PEOPLE USE PYTHON''.
In addition, he has calculated automated lists of unbeatable target words for both players in the game of Ghost using the dictionary shipping with Ubanto.[6]
How quaint.
I enjoyed your post on your IRC library in Scheme.

That's not Christopher, look at the EMACS, his name wouldn't fit in the censored area. Indeed, I think the fact that his file was named ``chris.png'' was an act of deception.
HI, I'M RANDALL MUNROE, FOUNDER AND CEO OF XKCD. LAST NIGHT, AS I WAS RELAXING IN MY BALL PIT, DEBUGGING THE SUPER SOAKER FIRMWARE I AM DEVELOPING IN PYTHON, YOUR MOM HAPPENED TO PASS BY, LOOKING MYSTERIOUS AND QUIRKY. I CONSIDERED IT A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO INTRODUCE HER TO MY THICK LINE. I SPREAD HER PARALLEL SEGMENTS WITH MY UPPER STICKS, THEN I TAPPED HER INTERSECTION WITH MY THICK LINE, AT FIRST SLOWLY, THEN I ACCELERATED LOGARITHMICALLY UNTIL MY THICK LINE PRODUCED THINNER LINES. OR AT LEAST, THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID. I GUARANTEE IT.
Hello, and welcome to ``Let's analyse Munroe's Jokes!!''.
Let's look at the panels left to right, up to down.
The first panel depicts two figures mounting a computer (And Asus Eee PC) in a hamster ball; humour comes from the fact that they are both adult, but, surprise!, they are amused by a hamster ball! How quaint.
The second panel utilises a typical Munroe motif, the acronyms. We are informed that TCO, the total cost of ownership, of a cat is approximately one thousand dollars a year.
The third panel is another attempt at achieving an amusing effect: One figure states that he has already written AI scripts for obstacle avoidance and blogging. Note that the Author compares the importance of blogging with that of avoiding obstacles. Humorous.
The fourth panel shows the already functional robot, "making friends: with an automatic vacuum cleaner. Notice the onomatopoeias that imitate mechanical noises.

This is not just the FIOC. It's the LAMEST. THING. EVER.
I can't wait to see what language he obsesses over after FIOC.
First it was Perl, then Lisp, now its FIOC. I think next it'll be Ruby, because he'd see through the lies of Visual Basic and would never be able to grasp Haskell.

I'm the real Chris de Burgh. I do indeed have chrislaptop and chrisdesktop, but that screenshot is not mine. I don't read xkcd nor do I have a stupid-looking dark theme: http://www.imageput.com/hosted/33198screenshot.png

I may be a mature adult, but that doesn't stop me finding fun in applying technical expertise to juvenile toys! I can combine making serious economic observations to trivial things and inserting acronyms in one go. I need more cultural references! BLOGGING! WIKIPEDIA? GOOGLE! If I continue to appear immature someone will laugh, right? Making sounds and taking interest in “cute” things appeals to my female demographic. We're so childish! Saying something is awesome is funny, and awesome! Python is really simple, you can import libraries with one line of code. My friends recognise this simplicity with passivity and acceptance. You should too.

Oh wait because there's no #include <stdio.h> in C or import List hiding List in the World's Leading Purely Fictional Language. Right?
the other half of my res hall is honors overflow. They have xkcd on their doors, also CTRL ALT DELETE and other stupid web comics. When you ask them what they are majoring in? All engineers. They don't even know what half this shit means, they just post it on their doors to claim their niche in the pseudo-intellectual community known as ``honors''.

Why xkcd sucks so much? And why somebody in sane mind would willingly read it?
