Nope! SBCL is just a Lisp interpreter and compiler; it's written in C.
I was referring to this incorrect assertion. There is no 'interpreter' per se and the compiler is written in Lisp and generates native code. The runtime has C components.

Define "worth using". If you're in advanced computing, there's shitloads of stuff worth using in Lisp. Lisp also does not seem to lend itself towards applications, but libraries and tools.

If you can't find anything worth running, you're only looking at very common mainstream applications, however I've seen some which had a lisp embedded or even had large parts of them written in Lisp, however it's usually not advertised, but someone who knows where to look and can read some x86 asm can easily find out...
