Has anything actually worth using and still in use today ever been made entirely in Lisp?

not much though, AFAIK they usually use either Python or Java for projects.

>>4
Nope! Emacs is just a Lisp interpreter; it's written in C.

>>3
Windows is written in C++--+.

>>2
They used to be all Lisp. The newer code is Java, and all the Lisp code is being pretty much phased out since Java programmers are much easier to find. I suppose eventually the Lisp will be phased out entirely.

Nope! SBCL is just a Lisp interpreter and compiler; it's written in C.

I was referring to this incorrect assertion.  There is no 'interpreter' per se and the compiler is written in Lisp and generates native code.  The runtime has C components.

Define "worth using".  If you're in advanced computing, there's shitloads of stuff worth using in Lisp.  Lisp also does not seem to lend itself towards applications, but libraries and tools.

Lisp is crap, just fucking deal with it.

You're like a bunch of audiophile fags who can't admit that vinyl records are shit and spend their time hating on CDs and other superior media.

If you can't find anything worth running, you're only looking at very common mainstream applications, however I've seen some which had a lisp embedded or even had large parts of them written in Lisp, however it's usually not advertised, but someone who knows where to look and can read some x86 asm can easily find out...
