Details? And are you usually on the enormous numbers + orange theme?

Oh, and browser of course. I think Opera looks a little funny. IE6 is of course a hopeless case and I only have 7 to test on.

the enormous numbers + orange theme?
polling reveals this is the answer
That theme is gross but it will be back soon TIME FOR BED

BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL THEME
You know, the one from the ancient world4ch
This one and the previous one suck
And for fuck's sake, put the stupid goddamn reply button BELOW the fucking input box!

You know, the one from the ancient world4ch
The one that looked exactly like this one?
I can't find anyone who still has a 0ch-php installation to check (but I'll go looking for world2ch in the wayback machine later I guess), but I have compared it against 2channel.
HOWEVER! I checked and the JS that handles the styleswitcher was really buggy, so I've just rewritten it. That may solve some people's problems if the page was a wacky combination of green and orange.
How is it possible to further degrade w4ch from the last failed ``upgrade''?
What, the one that made it work? Before that it broke constantly because none of the file writes were locked.
(Nice TeX quotes.)

Jeez. world4ch should just switch to Kareha and be done with it. Seriously people, they've got programming-friendly markup and all, it'd be great.

The one that looked exactly like this one?
No. The other one had a nice sage checkbox and bottom reply button.

A reply button on the bottom right wouldn't really work all that well. You'd have to tab past the navigation links. Here you can use shift-tab.
(tabindex can't fix this as it only applies to the whole document)
0ch-php did not have that, anyway, your timeline is messed up.
I'll make the page magically super-configurable with AJAX that lets you display it all upside-down later but I'm a busy man okay
CSS restored to full functionality and yotsuba is now prettier

I by far prefer table-misuse to div/span-misuse.

My god, you guys managed to make world4ch look EVEN WORSE. Congratulations, keep fucking it up. And what's with these IDs!? For fuck's sake, this is an anonymous board! Get that shit out! You keep making it similar to 4ch, and we'll move to 4ch which is better at it. Retain your personality.
>>19 A reply button on the bottom right wouldn't really work all that well. You'd have to tab past the navigation links. Here you can use shift-tab.
Put it right after the reply box.
>>23 Then I'm sure you'll be glad to know that that one also replaced the old one which was a TABLE LAYOUT.
So? What's the fucking problem? It worked, right? It looked better than this, right? Do what works, like Google. Quit the semantic bullshit.
They're thread-specific, so have no impact on anonymity beyond same-person. 4-ch is much less angry about the internet than you, so I don't think you would survive.
Retain your personality.
This is a problem but hey, got to ask moot about it. He makes all this stuff happen.
It worked, right? It looked better than this, right?
No (mobile phones), and no (seriously! the entirety of the elitist superstructure approved it, even the spirit of Shii from beyond the grave)
I will have to find a 2ch user and ask them why their post button is on the upper left. Perhaps then I will have insight.
I might resurrect the old other themes if you're nice, and make one that looks new and original. That way this won't have to be new and original and can concentrate on being awesome.
But, sadly, since you:
1. have javascript and cookies disabled
2. think this is somehow span/div misuse when it has structure with all the CSS disabled
3. like tables
4. like tables
I think you may be CRAZY! Or living in 1998.
Therefore I will make sure to implement all your suggestions using JS DOM manipulation, which won't work on your WebTV.

That's the point! D: Now trolling will be much harder and >>5>>6 same person will not be funny anymore D: . I guess this would be okay for some boards, but not for /prog or /comp, please!
No (mobile phones)
Have you REALLY tried it from mobile phones? Most of the time (not now), I'm browsing this board from text browsers such as elinks, and any theme always worked fine.

Why should you give a damn? Do what's best for our community.

I use a whitelist for cookies because of how often they are abused. I have Javascript disabled because it noticeably speeds up page display; Javascript has a negative effect on incremental display and it makes Opera's instant back/forward much less instant. Also, it's rarely used to do anything useful. Usually there are better ways to do what Javascript is used for, e.g. with CSS. In this case, bolding new threads could trivially be done serverside (and I'd gladly let it set cookies for that). For now, I suppose I'll just use the 'All threads' page, which still has timestamps.
And I'm not the table guy, I wuv CSS. However I do agree there are a bit too much span/div tags in your code (it should use lists instead in some cases).

Good, these posts have, like, actual facts and things in them.
That's the point! D: Now trolling will be much harder and >>5>>6 same person will not be funny anymore D: .
I'll disable it on troll-oriented boards as soon as I figure out if this is one or not. Anything that makes people stop posting about forced indentation of code is fine with me though.
Have you REALLY tried it from mobile phones?
Yeah, Treo and Sidekick. Haven't used links much; I use links and w3m for browsing, but they're really bad at forms no matter how good the forms are.
As for the button clicking it with a mouse like most people do works better if it's just somewhere close to the field; less horizontal space means you can use tunnel posting vision. I think anyway.

I want to avoid making the front page dynamic as much as I possibly can, but JS is limited to dynamic stuff like that, and cookies are limited to persistant JS storage.
If it had an RSS feed would you use it? I don't see how this list is harder to read than the table-styled one myself, but it wouldn't be too hard.
As for lists, yeah, the top thing should be a ul. h3 outlining the posts is enough semanticism for me at the moment.

i use the rss feeds on some more serious kareha boards, but i doubt i would on a 4chan board.

Why is that? Is dis.4chan running on a 286? Srsly, do you have any statistics showing that this would really impact your server(s)?
And I don't like RSS, so I probably wouldn't use that.

VIP about trolling? No.
Lounge about trolling? Sure, but it doesn't work.
Comp about trolling? Exclusively (with some Linux thrown in, but most of it is probably trolling).
Prog about trolling? No, /prog/ is all about flamewars, you don't have to troll to start one here, just state your opinion.

That's only since the 15yo gaya-tards invaded 4chan. Before /b/ invaded gaia /comp/ and /prog/ actually had intelligent, content-rich threads (with minimal amounts of trolling). They were actually useful.
Now? dis.4chan.org just sucks shit (I'm only reading it out of habit).

Lies. I've been here since the good theme in world4ch, the one with the sage checkbox that got turned to shit with shitty reply button and fugly looks, then got fucked again a few days ago. Now we have more trolls, but the amount of useful posts is about the same.
