noob help lol, flash

I want to load get data from urls to a couple of dynamic text fields that i have on my flash project. loadVariables wont get the damned strings from the url (header?). Am I doing it wrong?

use javascript instead. it's easier and doesn't require users to have a shitty (slow and crashes often) plugin installed.

Only if the urls aren't being sent to the server in the first place. In that case, he probably has bigger problems.

I also have javashit blocked - if I find a site that requires it to load, then I just go to a different site.  So as far as I'm concerned (& a hell of a lot of others), javascript loses visitors to sites.
