I live in Montana. The cost of living is NOT very low. It's very hard to live here compared to most every other place in America, and it's getting even worse now that it costs most people waste $50-$60 every 2 days just to drive to and from their shitty, low-paying jobs at Albertsons and Safeway. The only reason some of the people in my town can live kind of well, and don't fall into the overwhelmingly large category of meth-smoking white trash that exists here is that many of them made UNGODLY amounts of money before they even came here. People in Montana have nothing to brag about, unless they live up near relatively rich places like Bozeman and Missoula, which probably means they made at least 70k+ before they came here.
