Dawkinite atheists are fundamentalists.

Name: Anonymous 2012-12-28 18:11

It has been confirmed.

Many upstanding scientists such as Peter Higgs agree that Richard Dawkins is turning atheism into a kind of religion, and not the kind that does charity drives or is the focal point of a community's marriages and funerals, the wacky nunu kool aid chugging tin foil hatting batshit insane cult kind of religion, ironically the very kind of fundamentalist religion that Dawkins claims atheism will give you immunity from.

20th century history and the lingering communist regimes still around should have proven this theory of his wrong, just as the lack of evidence of god trumps many theist religions, however he had a chance, he could have admitted his doctrine is a kind of religion, claimed atheism makes someone less likely to become fundamentalist and that this particular brand of atheism is not the same as the others as mainstream religions often do, however he has failed. In some kind of giant projective defense mechanism it turned out he was little better than the fundamentalists.

Er, no. He already pointed out that fundamentalism is an inability to change when presented with evidence contrary to what you believe. To accept evidence that stands up to scrutiny is what it means to be logical and rational, it's what it means to not be religious.

I joined the Dawkins website forum and I was completely ignored. How can this be a cult if I am not being paid attention to? Are you suggesting that I'm not a special snowflake? How could you say such a thing?
I'm reporting you to the police for "Project Mayhem". You won't get away with this Ra's-al-ghul !

Some people worship god. Others enjoy worshiping atheism.

What it so hard to fathom?

Dawkins came to prominence with his 1976 book The Selfish Gene, which popularised the gene-centered view of evolution and introduced the term meme.
Jew by Halakha. His mother was Jean Mary Vyvyan Dawkins (nee Ladner). Ladner is a Jewish (Ashkenazic) occupational name for a shopkeeper, from a derivative of Laden 'shop'. Dawkins is a vice president of the British Humanist Association, and a supporter of the Brights movement. British Humanist Association committed to human rights, democracy, egalitarianis. The Brights movement is a social movement that aims to promote equal civil rights and acceptance for people who hold a naturalistic worldview. Dawkins cited the "Jewish lobby" as a model for his campaign. Dawkins describes himself as "a deeply religious non-believer" and calls his belief system "Einsteinian religion."

Albert Einstein was born into a Jewish family and had a lifelong respect for his Jewish heritage. Around the time Einstein was eleven years old he went through an intense religious phase, during which he followed Jewish religious precepts in detail, including abstaining from eating pork. He composed several songs in honor of God. Einstein's Jewish background and upbringing were significant to him, and his Jewish identity was strong, increasingly so as he grew older. Einstein was opposed to atheism. The simple appellation "agnostic" may not be entirely accurate, given his many expressions of belief in a Spinozan concept of Deity. It is accurate enough to call his religious affiliation "Jewish," with the understanding of the variety encompassed by such a label. Einstein had a positive attitude toward religion. He wrote of his belief in a noble "cosmic religious feeling" that enables scientists to advance human knowledge. One of Einstein's most famous quotes on the subject of science and religion is: "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." The Encyclopedia Britannica says of him: "Firmly denying atheism, Einstein expressed a belief in 'Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of what exists.' This actually motivated his interest in science, as he once remarked to a young physicist: 'I want to know how God created this world, I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details.' Einstein's famous epithet on the 'uncertainty principle' was 'God does not play dice.'"

"I get most joy from the emergence of the Jewish state in Palestine. It does seem to me that our kinfolk really are more sympathetic (at least less brutal) than these horrid Europeans. Perhaps things can only improve if only the Chinese are left, who refer to all Europeans with the collective noun 'bandits.'" --Albert Einstein

"The nation has been on the decline mentally and morally since 1870...Behind the Nazi party stands the German people, who elected Hitler after he had in his book and in his speeches made his shameful intentions clear beyond the possibility of misunderstanding. ... The Germans can be killed or constrained after the war, but they cannot be re-educated to a democratic way of thinking and acting..." --Albert Einstein

Maybe because "atheism" means "not worshiping any gods"? Without gods, what is there to worship?

The more fanatic atheists are usually just being sick of having their intelligence insulted by theists every single fkin time said theists open their mouth, because of all the circular logic and retarded dogma they keep spouting, and how hard it gets to ever fkin escape those bloody retards.

That said, some people find other things to worship instead. Like fantasizing harmful Jewish influence everywhere, to the point of "OMFG this one Vodka brand has a Jewish janitor somewhere, I CAN NEVER DRINK ALCOHOL AGAIN WAAAAH!"

It is an important point to distinguish between someone who doesn't believe in god and just says "yeah, technically I'm an atheist" and someone who is part of a collective group that follows some kind of atheism based ideology.

That said, some people find other things to worship instead.

There are several ways to describe this problem in the abstract without referring to a specific ideology, extremism, fundamentalism or tribalism might be good ways.

This seems pretty obvious now, I guess this is what this issue boils down to.

The question remains though, why is it so prevalent in our society?

So, why exterminating Jews is "extremism", when Jewish death is beneficial to society? I.e. like killing Jewish Pussy Riot members, who try denigrate and subvert atheism in their fight against russian government.

One time at AIT armor school at fort knox, KY there was a day when we were given the option to go to a church where they had pizza, or stay in the barracks and scrub the floors. Another time at Ft irwin we could either go to a christian concert or stay at the troop and clean weapons. Another time in Iraq, we had the option of going to the tent chapel or doing PMCS on our tanks. Hey, you dont have to go to church but we're going to make you want to go. This sums up the military.

Belief in God/afterlife greatly increases discipline. Look at Islamic suicide bombers, who are ready to knowingly sacrifice themselves in the name of Yahweh.

I didn't know Muslims used the word YHWH. Fascinating.

I'm really getting tired of the glorification and misuse of the word "Discipline". Definition #1 is about ethical self control.
Yet the most common uses of the word I hear are about anti-self.

Was there ever a self before they were trained? Or are we all a passive by-product of shameless brainwashing by malevolent elders? Inquiring minds need to know.

It is all the same evil old God.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahweh_%28Canaanite_deity%29
Yahweh was seen as a war god

so "Religion of Peace" is just an oxymoron, when the deity is a god of war, and the idea of monotheism finally makes sense with all the wars it brings.

Is there really such a thing as a white negro?
Perhaps a mostly white person with partial Sub-Saharan African ancestry.
Not all Africans are American.
True, if discounting the ones that don't live in the New World.
Can't you just call him a bird's shit-stain and move on with your life?
No, because that would be obtuse, racist and demeaning.

Don't change these.
