Gorbachov to Putin

Name: Anonymous 2012-12-09 17:33

In 1985 Gorbachov made perestroika and glasnost, and because of that; countries suddenly in 1991 demanded independence, and The Russian Federation among 14 other countries were made.

In the russian federation Boris Jeltsin became their president. He wanted to do quite much the same as Gorbachov, and reformed the state-economy from a communistic to a capitalistic which made the GINI-Coefficient explode. (Oligarchy was made).
The Russian Federation did go into a economic stagnation.

In 1999 Vladimir Putin became president of the economic catastrophic country, and repaired the economy. And it will propably get even much better, based on their membership in the BRIC-countries.

Question: Why are people unsatisfied with Putin? Jeltsin destroyed the country by not thinking twice about his reformation, and Putin repairs it again?

And what is all the talk about HIM being corrupt based on?

Russian economy collapsed because they couldn't take Polish potatoes, clay and horses anymore.

The main opposition to Putin is communists. They are irrational and should never be taken seriously.

And people who don't like being put in prison for speaking against Putin or even just being associated with people who speak against Putin.

No one in Russia is put in prison for speaking against Putin. There are many opposition parties, ranging from neonazis and tsarist to liberals and communists.

If you're referring to far-leftist punk band, they got thrown in jail for vandalism, not for speaking against Putin.

No, they were charged with hooliganism. Get your propaganda right.

Protesting becomes hooliganism when you speak out against Putin.

Of course Putin doesn't do anything wrong, as didn't Kim Jon Il. Both are perfect rulers.

Putin was a communist. He is limiting the Russian population's power to choose how and by who they are governed. The elections are almost openly fixed and those who are a genuine threat to his power find themselves in trouble with the law in some form or another. Not many people have been put in jail because the ones that have were punished as a warning, and considering Russia history it is easy to see why not many choose to rock the boat. Also,Putin supports privatization. So in order to make big bucks many people give up their political freedoms to ensure their financial gain. However a vast amount of Russians are left out of the equation and are forced to adhere to the consequences.

Putin may be an asshole, but BRICS is an interesting development and would like to see how it all pans out.

Putin was a communist.
So was practically every Russian prior to Soviet dissolution.
Also,Putin supports privatization. So in order to make big bucks many people give up their political freedoms to ensure their financial gain.
So basically, Russia currently is under a sort of right-wing junta that masquerades as a "democracy". Jesus Christ, Russia, get your shit together.

So the oligarchy puts a few loose cannon oligarchs in their place and tells the public "look, we've dealt with the oligarchs, that era of corruption is over" while at the same time developing a more sophisticated state, complete with a propaganda machine that hides the activities of the victorious oligarchs and passes them off as upstanding statesmen.

This new state likes to play brinksman. They strike a balance between upsetting the public and corrupt activities, naturally the less the public are aware of the corruption and the more they attribute their poverty to the natural state of things, the more the state can exploit them.

There is no parties in Russia. Fuck this this, we can't register pirate party because government think what pirate party support pirates from the sea.

Maybe not a lot of people go to jail for saying against Putin, but many people was attacked, like Oleg Kashin, Michail Beketov, Magomet Evloev, Paul Klebnikov and other.

What media hates putin? When and how exactly did he ``take on the jews''? Do you even realize that he's a jew himself?
