Financially Conservative / Socially Liberal Left-Libertarian Taoist that battles the Master Contollers daily WHATS UP!!?!?!?!?!

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-08 21:16

Do you vote repunlican because of their financial ideas?  Part of me wants to, but I just can't stand the religious right and am very socially liberal myself.  I just don't care what people do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.  Thats why the government should regulate businesses some, because their actions can hurt people.  Also, whats your stance on lobbying?

Although I hate the concept of ideological tribes and clans, I am inclined towards your ideology.

>>2 im anti war, anti lobbying, anti corporatism, anti taxation, and anti fed

i tend to not vote republican because for the most part they support the military industrial complex and mega corporations with MEGA SUBSIDIES. i cant stand the super religious pro war  so called " christian"  faction of the right, alot of them are just puppets dancing to isreals strings

dont get me wrong i dont care for " progressive" commie democrats either

never been much of a voter except for local elections. national politics is just a sham to me , i feel like my time could be better spent being involved with other things

saying all that id prolly still vote for ron paul, though i dont  really like his stance on immigration

I can agree with the anti war-lobbying-corporatism, but not so much the anti tax/fed.  Nobody likes taxes (well almost nobody), but they are necessary for keeping good infrastructure.  And I used to think that the states should take care of education until I learned what some states want to do with it.  Kansas and Tennessee want to teach creationism and Texas wants to decrease the number of teachers by half and double the size of classes (there's a correlation between how small classes are and how well students do).  So that should be federal.  The biggest issue seems to be lobbying though.  Thats why none of the candidates are good and nothing gets done.  I'll probably vote for Obama simply beacause he seems better than the Republican candidates that are likely to win the primary.

Italian fascists were right there with them....

Yeah, but no.  Benny joined the Nazis because it was better than having German soldiers trying to take over the place.  When Patton & Co. arrived, he switched sides because it was better than having American soldiers trying to take over the place.  The Germans had been tricked into defending Greece, and weren't best pleased when they heard the news, so they decided to massacre the Italian soldiers they'd left in charge before.

>>5 im anti public schooling on the whole....do yourself a big favor and go look into the prussian school system

in regards to taxes and infrastructure... i get taxed out the ass and have a very poor infrastructure so idk about all that

also in regards to the fed...really man?you are cool witha small elite of private bankers controlling what the currency is all the while dealing out their political and financial power however they choose? ( i am anti federal governmet as well)

I'm pretty sure Benny was killed by an angry mob after being busted out of prison by the Nazis, then Italy joined the allies.

1. will look into prussian school system

2. If you live in the US (as I do) then depending on which income tax bracket you fall under you are probably paying historically low taxes.  It is a myth that American taxes are high right now (compared to past tax rates).  This may or may not be why the infrastructure has been declining in quality.

3. Something does need to be done about the crony-capitalist elites running the federal reserve, but I don't understand being anti-federal government.  I think most states would suck at running themselves.  See >>5 for a couple of examples why, although there are others.  Such as the fact that most of them overspend.  Its not just the federal level that does that.

4. How do you think taxes and state vs federal government should work?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-17 7:29

" governments might be bad so we should have a bigger government that we know IS bad to run it"

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-17 20:52

Coin our own money - not paper - gold, silver and copper coins. This eliminates the Federal Reserve and brings us back to Constitutionally legal money.

Tax on goods and services only (wow already happening, plus the income tax). If the government cannot run on that, they had better learn how to budget a lot better. I had to go from making 30/ hour to 10/ hour then back up again - never lost anything.

Get rid of credit, if you cannot afford it now - do you really need it? People are too used to "invisible" money that they have no idea how to handle it and pass everything off to credit cards (hence why people are crying about bankers at the moment).

Get rid of banks - if there is no credit there is no need for banks - again, if you cannot afford it - you cannot have it.

No more minimum wage - have a living wage. People make enough to pay their bills and have one parent working. Politicians have to keep to the same living standards as the average worker. Also on this note - make teachers EARN their pay - no more passing little Johnny because "no student left behind" bullshit. I had my son held back in second grade and he is now an honors student in junior high - maybe this is because I am at every meeting and talking to the teachers - I do have time for my children's education and well being.

Education translates to "bring out from within." Instead of socially engineering children - educate them. Take what they are good at and build on it, work a little harder on what they are not good at. More Charter type schools (learn at their own pace).

Have a 32 hour work week - with a living wage it is possible. Maybe slip in a siesta, when I was working overseas a siesta really recharged me for work.

Pull out of the UN, let everyone wipe their own asses. Any country not paying us to be there shut the base down and bring the soldiers home. No more Unconstitutional wars as well - become like Switzerland - mandatory two year service and only fight when it is on our doorstep not when someone throws a rock at us from across the pond.

Politicians - get them out, no more attorneys in office, no more lobbyists, no more bullshit. Honest, hard working individuals volunteering their time to help move our country in a positive and right direction - that is how it was done in the old days - work your regular job and be a part of congress. One term only and all monies accountable - this is a public office, therefore their funds are public knowledge.

Bring the jobs back to the US, if a company is outsourcing fine that company harshly. Demand all people here illegally get their green cards or go home, enforce it. They do not need to become citizens, but they need to at least be legal. Things made outside of country will cost 5 times more than things made in country. No more buying produce from overseas, we have farmers here. No more messing with food either, 100% natural.

I hate saying this, it just churns a hole in my gut..... End the war on drugs. Keep Chemicals a crime, but if it a plant - come on. I am VERY anti-drug, but I know when something is futile.

Abolish Homeland Security, it is pointless. Stop scaring the people into thinking there are terrorists on every block. We do have terrorists - they are called gang members, try cleaning up our streets. Also with the war on drugs gone - how are they going to support themselves.

Start work programs, if you are on welfare - learn a trade. The State can do this. Get the homeless off the streets and make abandoned buildings livable. Teach people how to work. Then eliminate welfare (NOT disability or elderly care). When I flew into Mexico City a man in a wheelchair checked my ticket and spoke English almost as well as I do - this is a work program, no one wants to sit on their asses all day and get free money - if they do, it will stop and they will be forced to work.

Get the courts out of families. If two grown adults cannot live together anymore, fine. The children get to spend time 50/50 between parents - PERIOD. End child support, more times than not child support does not go to the children - it becomes extra income and is spent on things the children do not need. Though with the living wage and less hours at work - families should be a little stronger and this should be less of a problem.

File bankruptcy against everyone who we "owe" money to (sorry, we cleaned a lot of their wars up, I think we are pretty even anyway).

An armed society is a polite society. Enforce the Second Amendment - It was put there for a reason, if Commiefornia and other anti-gun States cannot figure this out then it is on them. Felons have lost their rights - again they have to earn them back before they can purchase, own or be in a domicile with them. EVERYONE must learn gun safety.

Medical care, this is a tough barrier to cross.... I have seen in other countries where "socialized medicine" has worked - but then again I was a soldier and saw how long I had to wait to get looked at because an officer had a paper cut (exaggeration). I know in some countries the government offers insurance for those that live on lower wages without great health plans at a lower rate.

Continued education (college). Schools have become a private market. Books and housing should fall onto the students, but the learning facilities should fall onto the taxes (as any other public school - State Universities are funded by the State, so why is tuition through the roof?!). Again without credit - if you cannot afford housing outside of State - guess what?

Oh crap - sorry about the bandwidth on this... I have a lot more ideas, but honestly people are afraid of real changes.

Damn, I could go on for days with this.

Then you wonder why America can't compete against anyone.

i will respond to this at some point

The States cannot compete because we are too busy buying foreign goods. Something about Asians and Orientals working cheaper, the US outsourcing all its tech and customer support.

I already work a 60 hour week, production slows after 30. People lose motivation.

What is wrong with a 2 hour lunch period to spend with your family - does not mean a nap. I guess you have to experience some things to get them.

Don't change these.
