differentfag here, I don't think you can get rid of the corruption as fast as it accumulates. America is incredibly corrupt and the bureaucracy is so obtuse to the complaints and needs of those that use its services that its intolerable. It can take up to 3 months to make repairs to a school building.
It's so incredibly hard to hold them accountable because all you can really do is protest and write your congressman, and that won't do shit. MAYBE if the entire population was politically aware and active. By which I mean, if there is an unsavoury policy everyone stops paying taxes at once. Then yeah, I can see the government complying to voter demands for it to be reasonable. Otherwise they just kind of slink around accountability as much as they can.
