So we won the cold war and the world is hurtling towards a global capitalist hegemony.

There will always be corruption but you can identify corruption and take measures to get rid of it. I guess my argument is to amend the general public's strategy of making sure the government does what it is intended to do.

Capitalism has just adapted to technological development and economic growth, it could easily adapt to a stagnant economy, instead of buying shares to sell them later when they have increased, shares would be bought for equity and dividends. Also the technological singularity won't happen, people confuse cause and effect, the relevance of events in history and natural history are influenced by people's use of the logarithmic scale in categorizing time periods.
