Stormfront on the Gabby Gifford shooting

Early reports indicate that someone ran up to her, while she was talking to a group of people outside of a Safeway in Tuscon Arizona, and began shooting. Initial witness reports that she was shot in the head, and several other staff members or bystanders were hit. As many as 12 people were shot or injured.

Giffords is an Arizona congresswoman from the 8th district and was appearently attending a 'Congress on the Corner' type event when shots were fired. She was transported to the hospital, there has been no update on her injuries.

Fox News is indicating that there have been 5 deaths and 6 wounded.

CNN is indicating that there may be a child among the victims.

CNN and MSNBC are now reporting that there are 'conflicting reports' about her death. She may be in surgery.

Fox is now also reporting that she is still alive, and was shot through the temple.

Based on what I can tell, they actually don't like Beck very much, especially not for his series on African Americans in United States history and especially how that intersected with his Founding Fathers series.

They liked his "Obama is racist" comment a while back but since he has rescinded that comment in light of a different opinion regarding Obama's behavior (was it a few months later?) interest has been mostly dismissive ambivalence.

Did you watch the video? In it at the end he said and I quote: "No! I won't pay debt with a currency that's not backed by gold and silver!", he definitely had a desire to return to the gold-silver standard, and very much disliked the status-quo system of the fiat currency that's in place now. His other videos talk about currency in general, and one where it seems to indicate that he desired to start his own competing or alternative currency. The ideas of returning to a gold-silver standard and alternative/competing currencies are usually (but not exclusively) discussed and spouted by libertarians and libertarian groups.
