Africa had more advantages than the mesoamericans yet their only civilizations were either heavily influenced by the arabs or a primitive cattle culture empire in west Africa in the 15th century which is pretty late. About their only accomplishment is somehow managing to resist civilization from spreading inland up until european colonialization.
