You're not really defending Wikileaks by attacking those individuals with DDoS, are you? you're just attacking individuals who have decided Wikileaks is too controversial to support. You may as well target individual households because a percentage of the populace not supporting the "cause of Wikileaks" is more damaging than just being denied funding through a public route.

I think "Anonymous" is also to blame individually. It's stupid to come right out and state your name and contact but, at the same time, that tact is hurting things larger than just yourself in a situation like this. Considering the festering emotions of people on this website talking about DDoSing and presumed calling for others to join them, or vowing to join them, in treading-the-line activities like these, that implication that Anonymous is a dangerous mask is appropriate.
Ironically, "Anonymous" would stop existing if a truly information-transparent Internet came into existence because we wouldn't be allowed to obscure ourselves from each other.

We deserve a transparent government, they are our employees or our representatives that we chose to be transparent. There is no government, only people acting a certain way. We no longer need republics. The Anonymous movement is the precursor to democratic transparency, past fear, the only thing to fear. Love is the only enlightened way to live, not out of fear.
