Tax and Regulate Cannabis Act of 2010

We all know it should pass, but will it?

I'm guessing it fails by 5-10%.

It should, it's effects are little different from alcohol.

alcohol doesn't give you skeetzerphrenia like weed does

I think the argument can be made a bit less complicated.
Alcohol is a natural component to a metabolism in controlled or self-generated volumes.  Cannabis contributes nothing to physical health or normal metabolism.

I personally don't use drugs, or drink, and so I can't get really worked up about either side here.

I would also note, though, that given that the power and the resources of the government are not merely finite but, in these dire economic times shrinking year by year, it seems to me that it would be better for the government to restrict its expenditures to things more important than whether some pathetic thirty-year-old virgin loser who works part-time at Burger King is smoking a joint in his mom's basement, or whether some nineteen-year-old is drinking a beer at a frat party.

Like, maybe, I dunno, fixing the roads and delivering the mail, maybe, and preventing Osama bin Laden from killing us all.  I'm just saying, here.

I pretty much agree with everything you have just said.

Don't change these.
