Some argue that he state shouldn't dictate to us what we should wear no matter how stupid. Doing so is taking away our liberty. We should have ability to criticise people for wearing them however.

In both cases the women have been essentially conditioned to accept it.  In the FLDS, the women are raised in that society, and have no choice but to remain and accept that they will be one of several perpetually pregnant sex partners living in the same house as their husband. If you know nothing else, you CAN'T choose.  Same with islam -- women have been conditioned to thing that husbands should be able to beat their wives, marry more than one of them, and they have to cover their faces.  They've also been conditioned to the idea that they can't leave their own house unless her husband goes with her.  Again, not a choice, because the muslim woman has never known anything else
