Capitalism vs. Socialism

Hi, I'm a college freshman, and therefore an idiot.
I like the idea of socialism, but I hate large government and government control. I like the idea of capitalism, but it causes the rich to get richer and for global marketers to crush smaller businesses; plus I don't want to be lumped in with all those social darwinist Objectivist douchebags.

What should I do? Books I should read to sway me more towards one opinion or the other?

I'm sorry you feel that way, the problem is though you don't have a soul so it doesn't matter. Get yourself some fried chicken, you'll feel better.

I will live with the pain, torture, tyranny, deceit and suffering that had come before me.  I wipe off the soiling, remove the parts that have rotted, and sanitize the filth, and produce what has always been underneath: before others decided to drag it through the mud, tarnishing it, the working teddy bear that I know.


Okay, it sounded better in my head.  I blame you for using the teddy bear imagery.
