So I've noticed Japanese economic issues keep appearing on my news searches.  If the Japanese economy does happen to take an unprecedented nose dive, what would that do to the global economy? 

I don't think Japan falling to level of say...Russia is realistic, but hypothetically, what kind of shockwaves would this cause?

A temporary recession, most of the decline will be attributed to competition from China.
