The fall of Japan

So I've noticed Japanese economic issues keep appearing on my news searches.  If the Japanese economy does happen to take an unprecedented nose dive, what would that do to the global economy? 

I don't think Japan falling to level of say...Russia is realistic, but hypothetically, what kind of shockwaves would this cause?

Who cares about Japan in the global economy these days?  Only china in Asia has any chance of affecting this economy..
