Dear laissez-faire capitalists

What's wrong with practicing law or medicine without a license?

Nothing. Licenses exist to enforce the law which is covered by laissez faire doctrine.

Uh... I'm not a laissez-faire capitalist.  No one who really understands economics is.  But I do believe that the certification and licensing of professions is an authoritarian tactic used to restrict competition, control employment, and establish market control.   I understand that the intention is also to create and maintain a "professional standard", but they go too far.  There have been many distinguished auto-didactic lawyers in history(hello! Abe Lincoln), but it's impossible to take the bar now without paying 60K a year for three years in an "accredited" law school(except in CA).  And I'm not even gonna get into the rigors of getting a medical license.  I will say that I know god damned well that I have seen many uncredentialed people medically treating people, and helping them a great deal.
As with everything else in life, caveat emptor.  You can't rely on others whose agendas are concerned with much more than your personal best interests.

To people who say "the government should not interfere with the economy" how come you support the government interfering if its to ensure your monopoly? Such as prohibiting child labor or forcing people to get licenses.

Well, I don't have a "monopoly", but most of the anti-trust laws on the books actually do more to help monopolies than to hurt them. I agree with mostly what >>3 had to say on the subject.

Such as prohibiting child labor
I don't see how that is a bad thing. Prohibiting child labor is a good thing.

or forcing people to get licenses.
I agree with what >>3 said "I understand that the intention is also to create and maintain a "professional standard", but they go too far." it does go too far with overzealous regulation and whatnot.

Don't change these.
