Why do people still believe in the Holocaust?

Can someone please explain to me why everyone's expected to agree with the official story about 6 million Jews being killed under the Third Reich?  I mean, in many countries, it's criminal to even *question* the idea that something might be wrong with that claim.  And you basically get blacklisted everywhere for doubting it, being labled as a denier.

I've done some research on this, and there's actually a pretty solid case that there was no so-called "Holocaust".  One that I agree with, in fact.  Here's an example of an excellent debunking:

So, with a case that solid, why is it such a big deal?  Why do people believe that there was a Holocaust?

It's easy to say the Jews deserved it.  Several WN arguments try to state that Jews did something wrong before WWII that made Hitler's actions necessary.  This line of thinking makes the WN arguments seem more hateful for trying to justify war.  Arguments should focus on why people need to stop using the Holocaust as an excuse for everything.

Pull every single troop out of Iraq and Afghanistan, don't build any permanent bases in those two nations, and station all those troops across the border between the United States and Mexico. There needs to be much more patrolling going on. What Bush and Obama have done so far is not anywhere near good enough.

I'm not denying anything, I'm not denying the nazis were psychotic motherfuckers, I'm just trying to shed light on the reality of the situation. The way I see it is if we have a realistic view of what actually happened we are in a better position to prevent it, if we demonise nazis and hype up all their crimes all we achieve is to play down actual genocide when it happens. For instance the genocide in Dafur, it was about equal in intensity to what actually happened in nazi Germany but because it was nothing compared to our fantasy of the holocaust very few actually reacted to the crimes against humanity.

Dafur was largely ignored because people have become even more insular in regards to their own nation. If it doesn't directly effect them, there's no real drive to do anything about it.

Darfur was ignored because it's just more TNB, Typical Nigger Behavior.  The savages behave the same way in Darfur, in Nigeria, in South Africa, in Haiti, in Detroit.  It's in their blood.  They aren't human, so why pay attention to their monkey antics?

i am a real life jewish from the days of "aushwitz" and i can tell you from experience, the camps were not places of horrible atrocity, rather they were places of horrible FUNOCITY! i remember clearly, those halcyon days spent riding the log ride with my fellow jews, occasionally bearing witness to our good buddy hitler operating the controls as he loved to do. On thursdays the nazis would take us out into the fields with large butterfly nets to collect beautiful large orange butterflies (the scientific names escape me now, my memory is fragile, probably due to all the exstacy we did) and then pin them to our big butterfly board. We would have contests to see who could collect the most, and the winner got to eat dinner! yep, fond fond memories of that place.
