Being able to respond to criticism is indeed a very laudable attribute to possess, but it is highly unlikely that this is the reason that Biden was chosen.
The vast majority of the voting public are as sheep, all looking for greener pastures but lacking the critical thought to find it for themselves. They rarely question what they are told and after they see snippets of the #2 man questioning the #1 man's ability to lead, they will begin to ask "Is he good enough to be president?"-after the news media asks same-said question. This new and unpleasant feeling that these people are experiencing, known to the educated elite as a "thought," will leave these people in a hysteric mess on election day most likely spent trapped within a pair of their own pants, when all you want them to do is go to the election booth and select "Democrat."
Now I'll ask you a question. Why is it that after 7 and a half years of George W., and whilst running against a man reviled by much of his base for not being conformist enough, is Barack Obama only tied with John McCain in the polls? If you reason that McCain is a fuckup, then most likely Obama is an even bigger fuckup.
