2) We are in one and the government is lying to us by not reporting negative growth in the past 6 months.

Unless we some 1929 shit we won't actually know if we've been in a recession until it's almost over.
Stop watching CNN/Fox/MSN, they blow shit way out of proportion and jump on the tiniest of stories.
Also, what good does it do you if you know if we are in a recession or not. YOU can't do anything about it. If you lose your job you were replaceable to begin with. If you own stocks, diversify. Get on with your life and stop worrying so much.
3) We've been in a recession since 2000, but fucking Greenspan did everything he could to delay the onset of liquidation of bad debts, and in doing so he made the inevitable recession about 10 times worse.
That's the option you should be choosing.

LOL 1929. that's like saying "race related gang shooting = nazi extermination of the jews"
Unnecessary state intervention in the economy is the cause of all recessions. When someone in the free market makes a mistake they lose money, when someone in the government makes a mistake they phone their PR guru and raise taxes to cover their losses.

Bush is socialist because everything about economy is actually STAYT or !STAYT, and you're a troll.

It is as simple as that I'm afraid. The only way people suffer from other people's mistakes in a free market is the slight reduction in the nation's productivity as a result of said person's mistake. Bear in mind if you place your money or livelyhood in someone else's hands and you lose most or all of it, that is a type of mistake.

Do you deny that Bush implements controls over the economy, beyond law enforcement, in the name of the people?

Anyone who adamantly insists there is a recession is consuming too much "news". The media outlets have fucking played up this shit like it's the end of the world and now you're starting to believe it.
Until we've had 6 months of negative growth and you can point to the figures shut your fucking pie hole.
The only reason this shit is even being talked about is because it's an election year and people need to convince themselves that voting for X or Y will fix the problem.
Again,
EVEN IF THERE IS A RECESSION THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. IF YOU'RE GOING TO GET FUCKED OVER IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. YOU KNOWING WHETHER OR NOT THIS IS A RECESSION WILL HAVE NO BEARING AT ALL ON WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR MONEY.
An economic recession is two consecutive fiscal quarters with negative growth. By that well established economic definition, we are not in a recession.
