To those of you people commemorating the anniversary of 9/11 and say that "Freedom isn't free".. what you refer to as "Freedom" shouldn't be considered Freedom.. it's actually something else. For true freedom is free with no obligations.
However, whether true freedom can ever exist is an open debate.

true freedom in your sense does not exist...but i agree freedom is not free and what we call freedom at least in the u.s. is alot better then thoes countries without what we call freedom.

Partially true. Freedom also exists outside of privacy by a society that is tolerant of liberty. That's not the USA any longer, BTW. We can't fucking wait to vote away everyone's liberty for a little, temporary safety.

There is nothing to stop regulation in any society. Freedom will always slowly rot away.
I've always wanted a branch of the government that always de-regulates laws.. That or laws expire fast.

Freedom is practice and recognition of self-sovereignty and that's what it amounts to.

Freedom exists when you can do what you want in public without fear.
What they meant by "freedom isn't free" is that freedom has had to be paid for in blood countless times in history and we should never take it for granted.
That's not freedom when it disobeys the laws of a democratic society that through public institutions framed.
Essentially, you're acting against freedom. Social Contract theory is a give and take relationship with the state.

It applies to everyone. So if you do something in public that causes injury to another or their property it causes fear and thus should be illegal. However being black or jewish is fine.
