Switzerland has VERY STRICT gun control laws. You can't just carry a gun for self-defence unless you have a fucking good reason. All ammunition purchased must be registered to your name, and state-issued ammunition is stored in a sealed box that is periodically inspected.

Carrying around a gun with ammunition is strictly forbidden.

High levels of gun control yes, but very strict control laws.
