Crime on the Rise in England Following Ban

Crimes committed with guns are increasing in the UK following their ban on gun ownership.

Switzerland allows their citizens fully automatic weaponry, unlike the United States, and their crime rate is even lower than many countries with gun control.  Using your logic, maybe the United States, rather than instituting more gun control, should adopt a system more like Switzerland? Or maybe the difference in crime has more to do with cultural factors?
