And lets remember that Europeans bought slaves on the coasts of West Africa. Looking at the size of the continent, this was a very small part where BLACKS SOLD BLACKS to Europeans. Whites barely had to leave the boat as Blacks were more than happy to sell their own. The majority of the continent was UNTOUCHED.

When Whites finally explored Central Africa and other areas in the 1800s they were startled by what they find. You can read accounts of people who literally thought they were at the beginning of time these people were so primitive.

It wasn't slavery. When Whites got to areas untouched by it they still found backwards savages. Hell, the Zulu were enslaving and slaughtering neighboring tribes in South Africa when the Boers found them on the Veld.

You can't take a Black out of the jungle and expect 4,000+ years of progress overnight. It just doesn't happen.

Oh, and slavery still exists in Africa. Hell, it wasn't until recently some countries went to outlaw it.
