Prostitution should be legal.

Prostitution could be regulated, taxed, and controlled better if it was to be legalized. The government could gain a substantial amount of money from taxing prostitution, help cut down on rape/violence involving prostitutes, and reduce the number of hookers with STDs. Usually, a prostitute's mistress's word is law to them, meaning all sorts of things. If the government ran whore houses instead of lowlife dominatrixes, then prostitutes (and their customers) would be much better off. Some mistresses force their girls to fuck customers raw, increasing the risk of getting an STD or even becoming pregnant, which can negatively affect many more people. There's nothing that can be done about this since it is a shady and illegal business right now.

Prostitution may not be pathetic, but at least we can try to profit off of it. Right?

No, if they cause others pain then it should be made illegal, that's what I said. It doesn't matter if the act in question is moral or immoral, if it hurts others than it should be illegal.

No, it is not OK. Yes it is wrong. Should it be illegal? Yes, because it invades others privacy. I suppose you could consider that an exception. I was making a general statement, naturally in a giant field of law there will be a few exceptions to the rule.
